A knitwear manufacturing partner in Tirupur
How we coordinate each production stage and remain answerable for the finished order.
Jai Sakthi Garments is a knitwear manufacturing unit in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, producing t-shirts and related cotton knitwear for wholesale and export buyers.
Tirupur has been India's cotton knitwear capital for four decades. What that concentration gives a manufacturer here is depth of supply — yarn, accessories, trims, dyeing and finishing are all within a few kilometres. What it costs an overseas buyer is clarity: it is genuinely hard, from the outside, to tell a factory from an agent.
We are a factory. The paragraphs below describe what that actually means in practice.

Nine stages, one company answerable
Tirupur works as a cluster — spinners, knitters and dyehouses that each do one thing all day, within a few kilometres of each other. We use that deliberately. Here is exactly which stages run on our own floor and which run at partner units we manage, because a supplier who will not tell you that is the one to worry about.
| Stage | Where | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Yarn | Partner unit | Sourced from spinners in the Tirupur cluster, to the count and quality the style needs |
| Knitting | Partner unit | Knitted to our specification at a partner unit a few kilometres away |
| Dyeing & finishing | Partner unit | A dedicated processing house — lab dips approved by us before bulk |
| Cutting | Our unit | Pattern making, grading, marker planning and bulk cutting on our floor |
| Stitching | Our unit | Dedicated knitwear lines, to your construction spec |
| Printing | Both | Our unit for the methods we hold, partner print houses for the rest |
| Embroidery | Partner unit | Always a specialist embroidery unit |
| Pressing & checking | Our unit | Inline checks and final AQL inspection before packing |
| Packing & export | Our unit | Labels, tags, polybags, barcodes and carton marking, retail-ready |
A dedicated dyehouse dyes all day for many customers and shade consistency is its entire business — that is usually better than a captive one, not worse. What matters to you is that one company specifies the work, inspects it and answers for it. That is us, at every stage, including the ones we do not own.
Knitting & Fabric
Single jersey, pique, interlock, rib, French terry and fleece knitted to the GSM your style needs at partner knitting units we have worked with for years — so fabric quality is specified by us, not inherited from whoever the market has stock from that week.
Dyeing & Processing
Reactive dyeing, bio-wash, enzyme wash, compacting and pre-shrinking at a dedicated processing house we have used for years. Lab-dipped shade matching against your Pantone or physical swatch, approved by us before bulk goes ahead.
Cutting & Stitching
Our own floor. Pattern making, grading, marker planning and bulk cutting, with dedicated stitching lines for knits. Side-seam or tubular, flatlock or overlock, to your construction spec.
Printing & Embroidery
Printing runs in our own unit for the methods we hold, and at print houses we work with regularly for the rest — so the method suits the garment and the order size rather than whichever machine is in the building. Embroidery is done at a specialist unit. Every method is wash-tested before bulk.
Quality Control
Inline checks at cutting and stitching, plus a final AQL inspection before packing — and fabric checked on arrival from the knitters and dyehouse. Third-party inspection agencies are welcome at any stage.
Packing & Export
Retail-ready polybagging, barcode and carton marking, and full export documentation. FOB, CIF and DDP terms handled with our freight partners.
Four things we are strict about
We would rather lose the order than miss the date
If a delivery window is not realistic for the quantity and decoration you want, we say so at quotation stage instead of agreeing and then explaining later. It costs us orders. It also means the dates we do give are worth something.
Nothing leaves without being checked
Inline checks happen at cutting and stitching, and a final AQL inspection runs before packing. If a lot fails, it gets reworked here rather than becoming your problem in a warehouse eight thousand miles away.
Shade consistency across repeat orders
For uniform and corporate programmes this is the whole game. We keep approved lab dips on file and match repeat production against the original approval, not against the last batch — otherwise colour drifts a little every season until year three looks nothing like year one.
Come and look
Buyers are welcome in the unit at any stage of production, and so are third-party inspectors. We treat an inspection request as normal procurement practice, because it is.
Why Tirupur matters
Tirupur is a single district in Tamil Nadu that produces a large share of India's cotton knitwear exports. Four decades of specialisation have put spinning mills, dyehouses, accessory makers, printers and finishing units within a few kilometres of each other.
For a manufacturer that means an urgent trim can be sourced the same afternoon rather than the next week. For a buyer it means lead times here hold up under pressure in a way they do not in clusters where every input has to travel.
